I am absolutely delighted to announce that long-standing therapist, Melanie Thompson of Holmfirth, has achieved recognition as a Validated 4Elements Touch Therapist. It's been one heck of a journey - and so deserves one heck of a celebration! But first let me explain what Validation means.
The confidential client feedback system we offer; our monthly clinical & business development calls; direct feedback from Senior Therapists on the feel of a treatment. These are just some of the ways we support therapists who train with us to ensure their clinical practice is as effective as it can possibly be.
We encourage our therapists to Check Out Reality throughout their journey - our Mastery Programme is our most popular option for a year of improving clinical effectiveness while building relationships and community with the same group of people throughout the year.
Which brings us to our Validation process: the ultimate Checking Out.
Available to anyone who has completed the full 4Elements Touch Therapy certification, when Melanie put herself forward for validation she was truly putting herself and her work under the microscope. Three Senior Therapists are involved (one as the client): fellow students also had the opportunity to get a fly on the wall view as Melanie delivered a treatment, just as she would in her own treatment room.
At the end of the treatment her work was Validated by the three Senior Therapists as truly having met and honoured her client. Of utilising the most appropriate tools, approaches and philosophies from her 4Elements training. Of putting her client above all else and delivering an absolutely outstanding treatment.
Validation can sound deceptively simple. What Melanie achieved was to combine the most appropriate aspects of her training, under the strain of being observed, to meet the needs of the client in front of her. This can feel both very straight forward and very challenging! Being observed is a necessary part of the process, and the additional strain often shows up weaker areas, or aspects that would benefit from further development.
But for Melanie, putting herself under the microscope like this showed not weaknesses but strengths. She truly let her light shine, and her potency as a therapist shone gloriously. I wish you could have been there to see it for yourself! What I can recommend, however, is getting yourself booked in with Melanie - it might take some planning, but it'll be well worth it.
Getting Validated may look like a one-off snapshot but having been through the process with many others (and having gone through it myself) I can say it's the most robust and comprehensive assessment of clinical efficacy I know. And it's a MASSIVE achievement - so if you'd like to send your own personal congratulations to Melanie, please do! I'm happy to pass on all messages that come to the office.
